Major new business development for Corby
39 acre site developed by Wilson Bowden Developments gets underway in Corby
Corby, already the base for national industrial and distribution companies such as Weetabix, Roquette, Matalan, Comet, Avon, Argos and Morrison, is about to see a growth in businesses with the development of Centrix Park, a 39 acre industrial and warehouse development being built by Wilson Bowden Developments.
The first phase of construction has already commenced on site. Alpha Court totals 61,115 sq ft of speculative development space presented in a row of two terraces. Each unit caters for between 3,950 – 10,025 sq ft and units can be combined dependent on local business requirements.
Alpha Court will be completed in December and infrastructure works are well underway.
Centrix Park is located on the A6116 Phoenix Parkway to the North of Corby and just 8 miles from the A14 which strategically links to major motorways including the M1, M6 and M25, and to southeast and east coast ports. Businesses locating to Centrix Park will also benefit from a large and expanding workforce situated in Corby.
Budworth Brown and DTZ are acting as marketing agents on behalf of Wilson Bowden Developments and are confident of the future success of Centrix Park. Helen Longstaffe of DTZ said;
“Wilson Bowden Developments has appointed us to promote both speculative and design and build opportunities at ‘Centrix Park’, we have seen a good level of interest in the market place so far although it is still early days, we firmly expect that more interest will be forthcoming once construction activity is heightened in August, about the time that the steel frame for ‘Alpha Court’ is coming out of the ground”.
Development Director for Wilson Bowden Developments, Stephen Pedrick-Moyle has been driving the development of this site since the company purchased the land in he said;
“Centrix Park will satisfy a market place that hasn’t has any building for some time and the speculative units we have specified on this site are ideal for modern occupier needs. In addition, the opportunities this location provides to businesses are vast; strategically located for ease of access to major motorway networks and close to local services with a mobile workforce in close proximity”.
Design and build opportunities are also available at Centrix Park, capable of accommodating units of between 50,000 – 250,000 sq ft.
