Our Company History

In 1982 Wilson Bowden Developments commenced a programme of large scale development with the acquisition of land to the tune of 72 acres south of Leicester at M1 junction 21. This development, known as Meridian Business Park, now extends over 200 acres.

In 1990 we expanded our skills and expertise to mixed use development, and the first regeneration site, formerly a power station in Nottingham, was then transformed in to a 50 acre development containing retail, office and industrial occupiers.

We experienced a period of vast growth and success over the following years and in 1995 we opened our first regional office in Leeds in order to exploit development opportunities along the M62 corridor.

Growth has since continued apace and just 12 years on further regional offices have been established in Glasgow, Manchester and London. We now have a portfolio of over 16 million sq ft of commercial space with an estimated gross value in excess of £3 billion.

To compliment our development portfolio we also established our own dedicated team, operating under the banner of Wilson Bowden City Homes, responsible for residential and mixed-use projects.
